Anyscale is making news with their latest round of funding, featured in articles this week in Forbes: “Berkeley Research Lab Group Mints Second Billion-Dollar Business In Startup Anyscale” and TechCrunch: “Anyscale adds $40M to bring its Ray-based distributed computing tech to the enterprise masses.” Founded by RISELab co-director Ion Stoica and RISELab Ph.D. graduates Robert Nishihara and Philipp Moritz, Anyscale uses the Ray tools developed in RISELab to allow individual users to take full advantage of distributed computing to scale AI applications in the cloud.
