Yian Ma is a postdoctoral scholar at UC Berkeley hosted by Michael I. Jordan. He obtained his PhD from University of Washington, working with Emily B. Fox in statistics department and Hong Qian in applied mathematics department. His interest lies at the intersection of statistics and computation, specifically in scalable sampling methods for Bayesian inference.
