I am a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Statistics, UC Berkeley, where I'm working with Michael Mahoney. My main research area currently is related to large-scale linear algebra and machine learning on distributed systems, and I am also interested in second-order optimization methods. I completed my PhD in applied mathematics at the University of British Columbia, where I worked with Eldad Haber and Uri Ascher. Before that I was an undergraduate student in mathematics at the University of Bath.
